State parent representation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Parents Association is composed of the school laws legitimate representative of all parents of each state in all school-related issues. She organizes her organizational and content-related work independently and on her own responsibility, advises and decides on her goals and exercises the parents' statutory rights of participation. She coordinates the work of parents within the country, works closely with the responsible ministries and advises them on the organization of the school system. It maintains the cooperation with the local school parent representatives and - if available - with regional or school type-related parent representatives ( district parent councils , regional parent councils and similar).

Country-specific differences

Federalism and the state sovereignty for schools lead to differences in the specific names and tasks of the state parent representatives. The highest, central parent representation at state level has the following designation in the individual federal states:

In some federal states there are also state representations specific to the school type, in Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia these replace the statutory state parent representation (see Parents Association ).

The state parents 'representatives have joined forces in a voluntary working group to form the Federal Parents' Council (BER).
