The State Hunting Association of Bavaria - Bavarian Hunting Association (BJV) is a non-profit , registered association and the association of hunters in Bavaria recognized by the highest hunting authority according to AVBayJG § 32 . It was founded on November 26, 1949 and was a member of the German Hunting Association as a Bavarian regional group when he left in 2009 . As a nature conservation association recognized by the state in accordance with Section 59 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act, it participates in nature conservation matters.

structure

Around 50,000 of the around 70,000 hunting license holders in Bavaria are organized in the BJV . The individual hunters are members of one of the 160 district hunting associations, hunting clubs or district groups. These are in turn united to form the BJV. Within the association, the BJV is also divided into government district groups. Among the member combine also include the federal government Bavarian professional hunter eV, the Bund Bayerischer gamekeeper eV, the German Falke North - Bavarian Association, the Bavarian Beizjägerverband - Bavarian Association, the Safari Club International Bavaria Chapter eV and the German Falconers Club eV

The Wildland Foundation Bavaria, an organization of the Bavarian Hunting Association, is the oldest nature conservation organization in the country for hunting. The Wildland Foundation Bavaria has set itself the goal of safeguarding biodiversity with near-natural habitats for posterity and is committed to preserving biological diversity. To this end, the Wildland Foundation Bavaria relies on the protection, preservation and recreation of diverse and intact natural and cultural landscapes, in particular by purchasing land.

The Bavarian Hunting Association maintains a state hunting school with three locations, in Feldkirchen (Munich district) near Munich , Wunsiedel and Amerdingen .

In addition, the BJV maintains its own service GmbH, which was founded in 1999. She is entrusted with the implementation of the economic business operations of the Bavarian Hunting Association.

The BJV left the German Hunting Protection Association (DJV) at the end of 2009 . The BJV leadership justified this with what they considered to be the weak resistance of the DJV to tightening gun and meat hygiene law, which led to more restrictions and bureaucracy for the individual hunters. The DJV regretted the resignation and referred to its own concession when the BJV requested a premium reduction. Ex-BJV President Jürgen Vocke did not rule out a re-entry into the DJV at a later date.
