State Youth Association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

In the Landesjugendring Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V. (abbr. LJRMV) joined together in 1990 nationally active youth associations to form an interest group for children and young people in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The Landesjugendring works as a lobby for politics, administration and the public to improve the living conditions of children and young people in the northeastern state.

organization

The organs are the general assembly, the main committee and the board of directors. The state youth association currently consists of 22 member associations and one affiliate association, as well as the state council of the city and district youth associations MV. and maintains an office with full-time staff in Schwerin .

aims

According to the statutes, the Landesjugendring Mecklenburg-Vorpommern pursues the objectives:

  • to be a working group of the state youth associations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
  • to contribute to the improvement of living conditions for children and young people in the state
  • to represent the interests of politics, administration and the public
  • to help shape, secure and develop youth work in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
  • to bundle the resources of the members and to network the members and their competencies with one another

Projects

The association carries or participates in the projects in cooperation:

  • Youth in the state parliament (organizer) and follow-up projects
  • Participation workshop (in cooperation with the Schweriner Jugendring, the youth media association MV, the BUNDjugend MV and the pathfinder association MV)
  • Youth program Zeitensprünge
  • PLATFORM network for European Youth Activities (Member Region and Secretariat 2010)
  • Youth collects for youth - annual youth collection campaign
  • Take Five for Europe - a series of youth conferences organized by the network of North German state youth authorities and state youth associations on the structured dialogue of the European Union
  • Youth arrives - social participation for immigrant youth
