State student council in Bavaria
The State Student Council in Bavaria ( LSR Bayern ) is the official student body in the German state of Bavaria . Since August 1st, 2008, it has been anchored in the Bavarian Education Act, making it the youngest state student council in Germany recognized by the minister of culture. The LSR Bayern is made up of six state student representatives and their 6 deputies, who form the board of the state student conference. In the student co-responsibility (SMV) students work on the design of their school and the school system. They primarily represent the interests of their classmates and are also elected by the students - mostly through the class representatives' meeting.

Rights and duties of the regional student council
According to Art. 62a BayEUG , the rights of the State School Council in Bavaria include
- to be informed and heard by the State Ministry for Education and Culture (right to information and to be heard) with regard to fundamental school matters affecting students and

In 2003 the Bavarian Ministry of Culture entered into talks about a student council for all types of schools. This ended with a pilot project in Swabia in 2006. In the 2007/2008 school year, a state student council was formed for the first time and state student representatives were elected.
In the meantime, the Bavarian State Student Council changed V. changed their name to the State School Students' Association of Bavaria e. V. She now saw her role as a supporting platform for the LSR Bavaria, in that only state student representatives could be elected to the board. Since January 2010, for the first time, there has been no state student spokesperson on the board of LSV Bayern e. V. represented.
basis'09 (Bavarian Student Symposium 2009)
On basis'09 in Nuremberg, the regional school conference of the regional school council took place for the first time at a school congress . That was symbolic, as four years earlier there was a campaign for an official student body on basis'05 . The theses developed at the congress were adopted at the meeting of the regional student conference.
