Langenaltheimer Haardt is a district of the municipality Langenaltheim in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The village lies at an altitude of around 580 meters above sea level and has 136 inhabitants (as of 1987). The place arose during the 19th century from a quarry settlement on the open space of the same name Langenaltheimer Haardt .
Langenaltheimer Haardt is located in the south of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in the Altmühltal Nature Park , east of Langenaltheim in an open landscape in the Weißenburger Alb , a ridge of the Franconian Alb . The village is right on State Road 2217 . It hugs a quarry.
In 1875 the 47 inhabitants lived in 92 buildings. They owned a total of 25 horses and 3 head of cattle. At that time the place is officially registered as a quarry (in the Langenaltheimer Haardt) . Even before the municipal reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Langenaltheimer Haardt was a district of Langenaltheim.
