Lantsch is a scattered settlement and a cadastral community of the municipality of Breitenau am Hochlantsch in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
Lantsch is located southwest of Sankt Jakob and is part of the village of Sankt Jakob-Breitenau .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 54 building areas with 43,879 m² and 34 gardens on 51,727 m² in the cadastral community Lantsch , in 1989/1990 there were 58 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 165 and in 2009/2010 there were 99 buildings on 145 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 439 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 1,663 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 232 hectares and 1,885 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 155 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 1,884 hectares. The average soil climate number of Lantsch is 12.3 (as of 2010).
