Lara Peyrot (born May 2, 1975 in Pinerolo ) is a former Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Peyrot took part in competitions of the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 1992 to 2007 . She ran her first World Cup race in December 1993 in Santa Caterina , which she finished classically in 56th place over 5 km. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1994 in Breitenwang , she won bronze with the relay. She completed 42 World Cup races, in which she achieved positions in the points in three races. She took her first World Cup point in March 1998 in Oslo with 30th place over 30 km classic. She ran her best World Cup race in January 2004 in Val di Fiemme with 14th place in the 70 km mass start race. From 2003 until the end of her career in 2007, she competed in the cross-country skiing marathon cup , which she won in the overall ranking in 2003 and finished in second place in 2004 , 2005 and 2007 . She won three times at La Sgambeda (2003, 2004, 2006), three times at the American Birkebeiner (2003, 2004, 2005), once at the König-Ludwig-Lauf (2003), Marcialonga (2003), Isergebirgslauf (2003) and at the Gatineau Loppet (2003). In 2003 she also won the 42 km freestyle run in the Dolomites and the 20 km short distance in classic technique at Marcialonga. In 2004 and 2005 she won the Gsieser Tal-Lauf .
