Lauren Ellis (born April 19, 1989 in Ashburton ) is a former New Zealand track cyclist .

In 2006 Lauren Ellis was runner-up in the junior world champion in the singles pursuit in Gent . At the 2007 Junior World Championships in Aguascalientes , she took third place in the pursuit.

At the 2009 Elite Track World Championships in Pruszków , Lauren Ellis was runner-up in the team pursuit together with Jaime Nielsen and Alison Shanks . In 2010 she won the silver medal in the points race at the 2010 UCI Track World Championships and at the Commonwealth Games .

In 2012 Ellis was New Zealand time trial champion , in 2013 and 2014 two-time Oceania champion.

In 2016, Lauren Ellis was nominated to participate in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she finished fourth in the Omnium. The following year, she took a break from cycling as she became a mother, only to return to the sport in late 2018.
