Laurent Schonckert (born February 25, 1958 in Luxembourg ) is a former Luxembourg soccer player and today's managing director of the Cactus Group .

Career

society

Schonckert grew up in Mamer and started playing football for the local club FC Mamer 32 . In the senior sector he played exclusively for Union Luxemburg between 1979 and 1992 . With Union he won three Luxembourg championships and was three times cup winner .

National team

Between 1984 and 1987 Schonckert completed 18 international matches for the Luxembourg national team , in which he was without a goal. He played his first game on October 13, 1984 in the 4-0 defeat in the World Cup qualifier against France . His last appearance was on November 11, 1987 in the European Championship qualifier against Belgium in Brussels , which ended in a 3-0 defeat for the Luxembourgers.

Professional

Laurent Schonckert studied law and economics in Nancy while he was still active as a football player . After an internship, he joined the supermarket chain Cactus in 1984 and became its managing director in 2002.
