Leandro Guaita (born May 19, 1985 in La Plata , Argentina ) is an Argentine football player who also has Italian citizenship. He plays in midfield primarily as a right winger .

Career

Guaita grew up in La Plata and played for Estudiantes de La Plata in his youth .

In the summer of 2004 he moved to Switzerland for FC Basel , but did not appear there at all.

A year later he moved to Italy for Vicenza Calcio in Serie B , but was again not used. Therefore, he moved in the summer of 2006 in Serie D to Sapri Calcio , where he scored three goals in ten games in half a year. In January 2007 he moved to the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione to Nuorese Calcio . He then moved to the clubs Polisportiva Alghero , San Marino Calcio and US Poggibonsi , so he played in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione until summer 2010. He scored a total of six goals in eighty-three games in the league. In the summer of 2010 he moved back to Serie D for Virtus Casarano . After a year he left the club again.

In the summer of 2011, Guaita then signed a contract with the Ecuadorian first division club Independiente José Terán . There he completed eighteen games in half a year and scored one goal. He contributed to the fact that the descent could be prevented.

In January 2012, he took part in a trial session at the German third division club SV Wehen Wiesbaden . After three weeks and four test matches, he was signed up to mid-2012. On January 24, 2012, he made his third division debut in the away game against Werder Bremen II (1-1) when he came on for Jonne Hjelm in the 69th minute . After only one game for the first team in the third division and one game for the second team in the Hessenliga , the club announced on March 20, 2012 that the contract had been prematurely terminated at the player's request. Guaita gave the reason for the growing longing for his homeland.

In July 2012, Guaita signed a contract until the end of the 2012 season with the Chinese second division club Shenzhen Ruby and made his debut on July 21, 2012 in the home game against Tianjin Songjiang (1-0) when he came on for Takashi Rakuyama at the end of the game .
