Leandro Silva , full name Leandro Rodrigo Silva Iglesias , (born March 13, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
At the beginning of his career in Apertura 2007 and Clausura 2008, the 1.70 meter tall midfielder and offensive player Silva belonged to the squad of the Montevideo-based club River Plate Montevideo . In the Apertura 2008 he was active for the first division club Tacuarembó FC . From the Clausura 2009 on again standing in the ranks of River Plate Montevideo, he scored two league goals there in that half series. In the following season 2009/10 he played three games (no goal) in the Primera División . In 2010/11 he was in 15 matches in the Mexican Liga de Ascenso for Estudiantes de Altamira or, according to other information, for Cafetaleros de Tapachula . He didn't score a goal. In January 2011 he joined the then Uruguayan first division club Atlético Bella Vista . After 14 first division games and one goal in the 2010/11 season, he completed four more games (no goal) in the Primera División and two matches (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana in the 2011/12 season . In mid-December 2012 he moved to CS Cartaginés in Costa Rica . There are 33 league appearances and five goals in the Primera División for him by the end of the 2013/14 season . He also came to the train once (no goal) in the Liga Campeones . In 2014 he won the Copa Costa Rica with the club . In the 2014/15 season he was used twelve times (one goal) in the highest Costa Rican league. Since the end of April 2015, he has been a member of the Dominican Republic- based club Universidad Organización y Métodos . From there, his career path led to the Uruguayan second division club Boston River in mid-August 2015 . With the Montevideans he played three second division games (no goal) in the 2015/16 season.
National team
Silva was part of the squad of the Uruguayan U-20 national football team that took part in the 2007 U-20 South American Championship in Paraguay .
