Lech Antonio Uszynski (* 1986 in Padua , Italy) is a Polish - Swiss violist .

Life

Lech Antonio Uszynski was born in Italy to a Polish family of musicians and grew up in Switzerland. He started playing the violin at the age of six. He received his basic musical education from his father. He received his academic training in violin from Ana Chumachenco at the Zurich University of the Arts and subsequently from Zakhar Bron at the same university. He received his training in the viola from Rudolf Borissowitsch Barschai and Michel Rouilly.

As a soloist and chamber musician he has performed in halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie , the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg , the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Liederhalle Stuttgart, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Herkulessaal Munich, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Wiener Konzerthaus , the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées , the Suntory Hall Tokyo and others. His chamber music partners include Lars Vogt , Christian Tetzlaff , Vilde Frang , Julian Rachlin , Antoine Tamestit , Dmitri Sitkowetski , Alexander Sitkovetsky , Maximilian Hornung, Mayuko Kamio , Danjulo Ishizaka , Yulianna Avdeeva , Thomas Demenga and Gerard Wyss.

Lech Antonio Uszynski performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in Switzerland and abroad. He was a guest a. at festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival , the Rheingau Music Festival , the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival , the Interlaken Classics, the Four Seasons Festival Riehen, the Cully Classique, and the NCPA May Festival in Beijing. He also works as a lecturer in international master classes.

Lech Antonio Uszynski has been a member of the Stradivari Quartet since 2010 . From 2010 to 2017 he played the Stradivari viola "Gibson" (Cremona 1734) of the Stradivari Foundation Habisreutinger. He has been playing a Hendrick Willems viola from 1690 since 2017.
