Lee Watkinson (born October 18, 1966 in Cheney , Washington ) is a professional American poker player .

Poker career

At the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas in May 2004 Watkinson was runner-up in the Pot Limit Omaha variant . In 2005 he finished 45th in the WSOP Main Event , for which he received over $ 235,000 . A year later he was 113 in the same tournament. Watkinson won his first bracelet in 2006 in Pot Limit Omaha . He received a prize of more than $ 650,000 for this. When the main event of the 2007 WSOP the jump to the final table he succeeded. There Watkinson finished eighth for around $ 585,000. In the third season of the World Poker Tour , he finished second in the main event twice . Watkinson had to admit defeat each to Eli Elezra and Doyle Brunson .

Watkinson's total income from live poker tournaments is more than $ 4.2 million. He was one of the pros at Full Tilt Poker .

Private life

Watkinson stated several times that his main interests besides poker are surfing and wrestling . He fought himself for a while, from college to 2001. He is also a staunch animal rights activist.
