Leinheim is a district of the city of Günzburg in the Swabian district of Günzburg . The parish village is located about three kilometers southeast of Günzburg on the federal motorway 8 and the district road GZ 15 .
history
The elongated place has grown out of several settlement centers. The first mention is in a tradition book of the Wettenhausen monastery , where a foundation from 1132 is listed. In the 13./14. In the 18th century, the lords of Roth have been handed down as landlords who had their residence here .
In the 15th century, the ownership split, so that the lords of the Reisensburg , the city of Günzburg and the city or the hospital in Leipheim had shares.
The previously independent community of Leinheim was incorporated into Günzburg on May 1, 1978 .
