Lengenfeld is a district of the municipality of Pürgen in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The church village Lengenfeld is about two kilometers south of Pürgen on the state road from Landsberg to Weilheim .

history

Lengenfeld is first mentioned in a document in 1171.

Until secularization in 1803, the church village belonged to the Oberamt of the Landsberg district court . In 1752, 32 properties are named, seven each of the Polling monastery , the Benediktbeuren monastery and the Hofmark Igling , three each of the Hl. Geist Spital Landsberg, the Andechs monastery and the local church, and two of the community.

Lengenfeld was an independent municipality until it was incorporated into Pürgen on July 1, 1972.

Attractions

In Lengenfeld there is the Catholic branch church St. Nikolaus , a rococo building from 1755.
