Lengthal is a district of the municipality of Moosthenning in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The clustered village of Lengthal is located about three kilometers west of Moosthenning on the edge of the Isar valley .

history

The place, which has long been known as Länghal , was an office of the Dingolfing Regional Court . The community, which emerged from the Lengthal tax district at the beginning of the 19th century, initially belonged to the Landau an der Isar regional court , then to the Dingolfing regional court, which was newly established in 1838.

In 1831 the parish hall was built, which was also used as a school. In 1834 the village had 36 houses and 144 inhabitants. The school building had to make way for the new church in 1934. On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Lengthal in the district of Dingolfing was expanded to include the municipalities of Rimbach and Dornwang . With effect from May 1, 1978, the Lengthal community became part of the Moosthenning community.
