Leo Pollmann

Leo Pollmann (born May 3, 1930 in Bocholt , † December 19, 2009 in Stegen ) was a German Romance studies and literary scholar .

life and work

After studying at the Münster , Sorbonne ( Paris ) and Freiburg , Pollmann received his doctorate from the latter under Hugo Friedrich in 1955 with The Tractatus "De Amore" by Andreas Capellanus and his position in the history of the amortization theory and went to school for ten years.

He completed his habilitation in Freiburg in 1965 on Love in the High Medieval Literature of France. Attempt at a historical phenomenology . In 1966 he was appointed to the Technical University of Berlin , from there he held a visiting professorship in Valparaíso and taught from 1968 to 1979 as a full professor at the University of Erlangen , from 1979 until his retirement in 1998 at the University of Regensburg .
