Leo Schlömmer
Leo Schlömmer (born April 14, 1936 ) is an Austrian mountaineer .
Life
Leo Schlömmer grew up in Schladming in Styria and began rock climbing at an early age . In addition to difficult alpine tours, he later took part in several important expeditions in the Karakoram and the Himalayas .

- Matterhorn north face 1962 first winter ascent
- Eiger , Grandes Jorasses and Matterhorn; first ascent of all three great north faces of the Alps in a period of less than a year 1962/1963
- Momhil Sar (7343 m, Karakorum, Pakistan), first ascent in 1964 with Hanns Schell , Rudolph Pischinger , Horst Schindelbacher and Rudolf Widerhofer
- Jirishanca (6126 m, Andes, Peru), second ascent in 1966 with Werner Haim , Felix Kuen and Adi Sager
- Mount Everest (8848 m, Himalaya, Nepal / Tibet), 1971 participant in an international expedition led by Norman Dyhrenfurth
