Leon Bätge (born July 9, 1997 in Wolfsburg ) is a German football goalkeeper . He is under contract with VSG Altglienicke .

Career

After starting out as a youth at TSV Adler Jahrstedt, FC Brome and VfL Wolfsburg , Bätge moved to Eintracht Frankfurt's youth department in summer 2015 . As a regular goalkeeper, he also led the A-youth team temporarily as team captain. After the end of his training, Bätge moved up to the Bundesliga squad , but was not used. In May 2018 he won the DFB Cup with Eintracht after beating FC Bayern in the final .

In the summer of 2018, the goalkeeper switched to third division club Würzburger Kickers , where he signed a two-year contract. On September 25, 2018, the 9th matchday, Bätge was in the starting line-up in a 2-1 home win against SV Meppen and made his professional debut. Alternating with Patrick Drewes , he played 14 league games and four games in the national cup , which the goalkeeper won with the Kickers. As a result, the newcomers Eric Verstappen and Vincent Müller were given preference in goal, which is why Bätge no longer extended his contract, which expired in spring 2020.

In summer 2020 he moved to VSG Altglienicke in the Regionalliga Nordost .
