Leon Gustav Wilhelm Baron von Buchholtz (born November 1, 1838 in Hasenpoth , † April 7, 1911 in Berlin ) was a German-Baltic landowner and politician .

Life

Leon Gustav Wilhelm von Buchholtz was born the son of the landowner Wilhelm Baron von Buchholtz and his wife Ulrike, née Baroness von Behr . From the summer semester 1858 and winter semester 1860/1861 he studied at the University of Moscow law . In the summer semester of 1861 he moved to the University of Zurich to continue his studies . On June 24, 1862, he was one of the founders of Baltica Zurich , today Corps Baltica-Borussia Danzig zu Bielefeld. He finished his studies at Easter 1863 and returned to his homeland in Courland.

From 1864 to 1879 he was heir to Langsehden and from 1879 to heir to Stackeldangen. In 1886 he was churchwarden of Hasenpoth. From 1889 to 1893 he was a secular assessor in the Hasenpoth church council. From 1894 to 1904 he was district marshal of the Hasenpoth circle of the Courland knighthood. He was honorary peace judge of the Grobin -Hasenpoth plenary .

After the Russian Revolution of 1905 he lived in Freiburg im Breisgau and Berlin, where he died as a result of an operation.
