Léonie Périault (born July 31, 1994 ) is a French triathlete . She is U23 Vice European Champion (2014) and U23 Vice World Champion on the Olympic short distance (2015).

Career

Junior Vice World Champion Triathlon 2012

In April 2012, Léonie Périault became Vice Junior European Champion in triathlon and also Junior Vice World Champion in New Zealand in October.

In 2013 Périault became French youth state champion and in June 2014 she became U23 vice-European champion.

U23 Vice World Champion Triathlon 2015

In September 2015, she became U23 runner-up in the Olympic short distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) in Chicago: At the same time she crossed the finish line with her compatriot Audrey Merle and based on the photo of the finish, the title became Merle awarded.

Léonie Périault lives in Poissy and she started in 2015 for the Poissy Triathlon association , with which she a. a. together with Andrea Hewitt , Rachel Klamer , Sarah True and Vicky Holland became champion in the French professional league Grand Prix de Triathlon .

In September 2016, as in the previous year, she was U23 vice world champion. The 23-year-old finished sixth at the 2017 U23 World Cup in the Netherlands.

In August 2018, she became European relay champion in the French mixed team in Glasgow.
