Leopold Ackermann
Leopold Ackermann (born November 17, 1771 in Vienna ; † September 9, 1831 there ; monastery name: Petrus Fourerius ) was an Austrian Catholic theologian .
Life
Leopold Ackermann joined the Augustinian Canons of Klosterneuburg Monastery on October 10, 1790 . In the following year he moved to the University of Vienna to study theology for four years. He then became a priest in the Stiftshof in Vienna and a professor of archeology . 1800 for Librarian appointed the pen, doctorate to him two years later to the doctor . A university in Hungary awarded him an honorary doctorate . The University of Vienna hired him in 1806 as professor of the Old Testament . He held the position until his death on September 9, 1831 due to a stroke .
