Leopold Pape

Leopold Pape (born July 28, 1992 in Dresden , Saxony ) is a German film producer . With his company Coronado Film, of which he is the managing director and founder, he produced various short films, including the award-winning short film " The Bathtub ". The German-Austrian co-production was realized as an independent project in Vienna and Ludwigsburg . In 2016 the film won the jury award at the Festival du Court-Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand . In addition, the film was broadcast in Arte's short-circuit program and was on the short film long list of the Oscars .

Life

As the son of the German opera singer Rene Pape , Leopold Pape grew up in Dresden . After graduating from high school , Pape trained as a chef in Vancouver , Canada . He then completed a Bachelor of Arts in theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna . Pape has been a producer at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy since 2017 . He is currently working with director Tim Ellrich on his feature film debut.
