Johann Ernst Leopold von Pogrell (born September 7, 1805 in Breslau , Province of Silesia , † March 26, 1865 in Minden ) was a German businessman and politician from the Pogrell family .

Von Pogrell became a lieutenant and adjutant in the 15th Prussian infantry regiment . In 1831 he married Emilie Wilhelmine Auguste von Pogrell, nee Harten. The Harten merchant family had been involved in extensive trading and corporate activities in the East Westphalian city ​​of Minden since the middle of the 18th century . A picture of the wife, painted by Friedrich Wilhelm Graupenstein in 1854, is in the Minden Museum . Von Pogrell was a merchant, landowner, town major and councilor in Minden. In 1852 he was one of the 60 highest taxed citizens from the districts of Minden, Lübbecke, Herford, Bielefeld and Halle.

In 1847 he was a member of the First and, after the March Revolution in 1848, of the Second United State Parliament . In 1851 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia for the constituency of Minden-Ravensberg and the constituency of the city of Minden .
