Leopoldo González González (born October 31, 1950 in Abasolo , Guanajuato state , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Acapulco .

Life

Leopoldo González González received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Morelia on November 23, 1975 .

On 18 March 1999 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Voncaria and auxiliary bishop in Morelia. The Archbishop of Morelia, Alberto Suárez Inda , donated him episcopal ordination on May 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Justo Mullor García , and the Bishop of Zamora , Carlos Suárez Cázares .

On June 9, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Tapachula .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Acapulco on June 30, 2017.
