Rogelio Cabrera López

Rogelio Cabrera López (born January 24, 1951 in Santa Catarina ) is Archbishop of Monterrey .

Life

Rogelio Cabrera López was ordained a priest on November 17, 1978 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tacámbaro on April 30, 1996 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico , Girolamo Prigione , donated him episcopal ordination on May 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Mario de Gasperín Gasperín , Bishop of Querétaro , and Alberto Suárez Inda , Archbishop of Morelia .

On July 16, 2001, he was appointed Bishop of Tapachula and on September 11, 2004, Bishop of Tuxtla Gutiérrez . With the elevation to the archbishopric on November 25, 2006 he was appointed Archbishop of Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Archbishop of Monterrey on October 3, 2012. The official inauguration followed on December 5 of the same year.
