The diocese Tacámbaro ( lat. : Dioecesis Tacambarensis , span. : Diócesis de Tacámbaro ) is in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese based in Tacámbaro .

history

The diocese of Tacámbaro was established on July 26, 1913 by Pope Pius X. from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Michoacán and the Diocese of León and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Michoacán as a suffragan . On April 30, 1962, the diocese Tacámbaro were parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Quo Aptius erected diocese Apatzingán from. Another area assignment, carried out on 27 October 1964 on the establishment of the Apostolic Constitution Populo Dei erected Diocese of Ciudad Altamirano .
