Leslie Silva

Leslie Silva (born April 21, 1968 in Schenectady , New York ) is an American actress .

life and work

Leslie Silva grew up in Saratoga, New York, graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and graduated from the Juilliard School with a Master of Fine Arts . She lives in Los Angeles.

Silva made her stage actress debut in 1995 with the off-Broadway production Macbeth at the Shakespeare Theater in Washington. She had her first leading role in Sam Shepard's one-act play Chicago the following year at Signature Theater . Off-Broadway she played the role of Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream ( A Midsummer Night's Dream ) in the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Silva has also worked with Anna Deavere Smith, Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory.

She played her first role in a television production in the series New York Undercover (1996). Silva's debut in a Hollywood production was a supporting role in the 1997 comedy Fools Rush In, starring Salma Hayek and Matthew Langford Perry . Her better-known films include The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisters and the television series Providence (1999) and Odyssey 5 (2002-2003), in which she was part of the regular cast. Silva played recurring guest roles in television series such as Homicide , The Agency and Numbers .

Her current project is the US feature film Reversion (2008), in which she plays the leading role.
