Hydrology

At the confluence of the Lièpvrette in the Giessen , the mean flow rate (MQ) is 2.02 m³ / s; the catchment area here covers 130 km².

At the Lièpvre gauge , the average annual discharge of the Lièpvrette was calculated over a period of 46 years (1965–2010) . The catchment area at this point, at 108 km², corresponds to around 83% of the entire catchment area of the river.

The flow rate fluctuates quite strongly over the course of the year. The highest water levels are measured between December and March. The flow rate reached its peak in February at 3.14 m³ / s. From April onwards the discharge decreases and reaches its lowest level in August at 0.66 m³ / s, after which it increases again from month to month. The annual average value here is 1.84 m³ / s

The monthly mean discharge (MQ) of the Lièpvre in m³ / s, measured at the Lièpvre hydrological station.
