Lidija Petrovna Shtykan

Lidija Petrovna Schtykan ( Russian Лидия Петровна Штыкан * 26. June 1922 in Petrograd , Soviet Russia ; † 11. June 1982 in Perm , RSFSR , Soviet Union ) was a Soviet theater - and film - Actress .

Life and accomplishments

Schtykan was already fascinated by films as a child and then made the decision to become an actress. She began her training in 1940 at the Leningrad theater institute "AN Ostrowski" , but had to interrupt it due to the German-Soviet war and then worked as a nurse at the front. After the end of the war she returned to her former school and graduated in 1948.

Schtykan already gained experience at the large drama theater “M. Gorky ” in Leningrad, but moved to the Alexandrinsky Theater in 1948 , which was to remain her place of work until her death. Over the years she acquired the reputation of a mime who knew how to perfectly depict mood images. One of her greatest successes is the role of Blanche in an adaptation of Dostoyevsky's The Player in 1956, other well-known characters in her oeuvre were Olivia in Shakespeare's What You Want , Luise Miller in Schiller's Cabal and Love , Marina Mnisek in Pushkin's Boris Godunov and Lady Teazle in Sheridan's The School for Scandal .

1944 Schtykan played in Жила-была девочка ( Shila-byla dewotschka ) and Морской батальон ( Morskoi Batalon ) their first film roles, after 5-year break, she was 1949 in Константин Заслонов, a work on the Partisan Konstantin Zaslonov to see. Another film biography followed in 1950 with Melody of Life about the composer Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky . Until her death, Schtyka took part in nearly 50 films, including several television productions. She gave her only leading roles in the films Зима тревоги нашей ( Sima trewogi naschei , 1963) and Бешеные деньги ( Beschenye dengi , 1968), which were also shot for television . In addition to her work in front of the camera, she was also heard in 1970 as a speaker in Говорящая машина ( Doworjashschaja maschina ).

Schtykan was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1957) and People's Artist of the RSFSR (1968). She died shortly before her 60th birthday during a guest performance in Perm and was buried in the Komarovo cemetery in Leningrad.

Private

Lidija Schtykan married the actor Nikolai Alexandrowitsch Boyarski (1922–1988) in 1945 , and their son Oleg was born on November 18 of the same year. The marriage also produced a daughter named Ekaterina, who also attended the theater faculty. She is the author of the book Театральная династия Боярских ( Teatralnaja dinastija Bojarskich , German: theater dynasty Boyarsky), published in 2007 .
