Lieselore Curländer

Lieselore Curländer (* 1956 in Schnathorst ) is a German CDU local politician and was district administrator for the East Westphalian district of Herford from 2003 to 2009 .

education and profession

Curländer completed his legal training with a focus on civil justice at Bielefeld University and graduated in 1982 with the 2nd state examination in law. She then worked in a law firm specializing in labor and corporate law. After two years of work, she joined the public sector at the financial administration of North Rhine-Westphalia and completed a postgraduate course at the Federal Finance Academy . After a position in the tax office in Münster- Innenstadt, she moved to the city of Herford as head of the legal office in 1986 , from 1992 she was then head of the office for the environment, law and building management and was also the data protection officer for the city of Herford. From 1996 she headed the Law and Order Department .

politics

In 1999 she took office as the first directly elected mayor of the city of Vlotho . In 2003 she was elected district administrator of the Herford district with 52.29% of the vote, making her the first woman to head the district. She held this office until 2009. For the 2009 local elections , she decided not to run again. Her immediate successor was Christian Manz (CDU).

Private

Curländer is married, has three children and lives in Rahden .
