Friedrich Wilhelm Karl von Laer (born December 19, 1868 in Münster i. W .; † January 12, 1951 in Haus Dorsel near Warendorf ) was a German politician and district administrator in Prussia .

Von Laer comes from a Westphalian noble family. In 1888 he passed his Abitur in Münster and then studied law. In 1891 he entered the Prussian civil service. From January 20, 1898 to June 12, 1899 von Laer, actually still as a government assessor with the government in Münster , was the deputy district administrator in the Rawitsch district in the Prussian administrative district of Posen , Posen province . In October 1903 von Laer, meanwhile active in the government in Königsberg i. He was appointed by the British military government as the successor to the NSDAP politician Friedrich Kleim as district administrator for the Herford district . He held this office from April 12, 1945 to April 26, 1946 until his successor August Griese ( SPD ) was appointed.
