Rudolf von Borries

Rudolf Hans Phillipp Franz Georg von Borries (born August 12, 1843 on Gut Steinlacke , Kirchlengern , † November 28, 1890 in Düsseldorf ) was a German manor owner, government official and politician.

From 1870 to 1890 he was district administrator of the Prussian district of Herford in Westphalia .

Life

Borries was the son who is originally from Minden originating family Borries from the realm of nobility on the Good Stone paints born later he was there Fideikommiss -Mr. In 1863 he placed at the Gymnasium in Hamm leaving certificate, and then studied in Heidelberg and Berlin law . After the death of his father Georg von Borries , he was entrusted with the administration of the district office in the Herford district on May 6, 1870. On September 25, 1870, the district council in Herford unanimously voted him the first candidate for the district office and on November 14, 1870 he was appointed district administrator. He held this office until his death in 1890. His successor as district administrator was his brother Georg von Borries . In the years 1877 and 1878 Borries also administered the district office in the Bielefeld district .

Rudolf von Borries was a Protestant and married.

From 1874 to 1877 Borries was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Minden 2 (Herford - Halle in Westphalia) , where he belonged to the faction of the National Liberal Party . From 1877 to 1890 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia for the Minden-Ravensberg constituency and deputy chairman of the Provincial Committee.

Other offices and awards

Borries was chairman of the agricultural provincial association for Westphalia and Lippe and chairman of the agricultural district association of Herford. He was also a member of the Landesökonomiekollegium .

He was a bearer of the Red Eagle Order III. Class with the ribbon and the Order of the Prussian Crown IV. Class with a red cross in the white field .
