Siegfried Moning

Siegfried Moning (born May 27, 1920 in Ennigloh ; † September 26, 1989 ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed a commercial apprenticeship. Following his military service, he worked for the NAAFI until 1949 . From 1950 to 1989 Moning was an independent businessman . He lived in Bünde , where a sports hall is named after him.

He was married and had one child.

Siegfried Moning was a member of the Herford District Council from April 4, 1961 until his death on September 26, 1989 . From April 7, 1975 to July 12, 1975 he was Deputy Group Chairman.

On May 14, 1977 he was elected district administrator and remained in this position until his death. Gerhard Wattenberg (SPD) was elected as his successor .

Moning was a member of the landscape assembly of the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe and numerous committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

From 1969 to 1975 he was mayor of the city ​​of Bünde and was a member of the city council.

On November 10, 1980 Moning was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and on June 27, 1986 the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.
