Lilium rosthornii ( Chinese 南川 百合 , Pinyin Nánchuān bǎihé ) is a species from the genus of lilies ( Lilium ) in the Asian section .

Lilium rosthornii reaches a height of 40 cm to 100 cm. The onions are spherical and consist of white scales. The stem is hard and straight, with the leaves that are scattered there is a leaf dimorphism : while the lower and middle leaves are linear-lanceolate , up to 15 cm long and a maximum of 1 cm wide, the upper leaves are ovate and shorter (at most 4 , 5 cm long).
The plant blooms from July to August with 1 to 9 flowers arranged in a racemose panicle . The hermaphrodite flowers are threefold. The six identical bloom cladding sheets ( tepals ) are rolled back ( Turk's collar shape ), about 6.5 cm long and about 1 cm wide. The basic color of the flowers is yellow to orange with purple dots, the throat is dark brown. The nectaries have green or black appendages lashed on both sides. Each flower contains three carpels and six stamens. The pollen is red-brown and the filaments are about 65 mm long. The seeds ripen in September in narrow oval seed pods measuring 5.5 cm to 6.5 cm .

Lilium rosthornii is found in forests and on hills, often along rivers, at altitudes between 300 m and 900 m above sea level. NN.
It is in the People's Republic of China in the provinces of Guizhou , Hubei and Sichuan endemic .
