Lilly Ronchetti

Lilly Ronchetti (born November 2, 1928 in Brugg AG; † January 8, 1997 in Winterthur ) was a Swiss writer and poet . She is valued as a sensitive modern poet , but is still partly moved towards the late Romantic period .

Life

She spent her life in Winterthur from 1935 until her death. After attending elementary school and graduating from the cantonal commercial school, she worked at Zürcher Kantonalbank from 1947, where she later headed the credit department as authorized representative. She always wrote on the side, in 1956 her first texts (prose, poetry and journalistic) appeared in newspapers, magazines and anthologies . In addition to numerous literary articles, she also published a total of six volumes of poetry at irregular intervals and also translated French literature. Her literary role models were Hilde Domin , about whom she also wrote, Rose Ausländer , Günter Eich and Paul Celan .

Lilly Ronchetti Prize

In a will, Lilly Ronchetti donated the fund to the AdS Authors of Switzerland Association to host a prize that deliberately supports older authors. It is awarded every 2 years to part-time writers who are over 40 years old. In addition to the prize money of CHF 3,000 for the cost of living, it includes a month's stay in Paris, the place where the AdS was written.
