The Limetin is a river in France that runs in the Loiret department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises near the hamlet of Les Fontenelles , in the south-western municipality of Lorris . The Rigole de Courpalet irrigation canal crosses the course of the river in its upper reaches and, in addition to various other bodies of water, is endowed with water from the Limetin via the Etang der la Motte reservoir , which is needed to supply the Canal d'Orléans . The Limetin generally drains in a north-easterly direction and flows into the Bezonde as a right tributary after around 23 kilometers . Just before its mouth, the Limetin crosses the Canal d'Orléans, which runs parallel to the Bezonde.
