Lina from Perbandt
Karoline (Lina) Louise Amalie Auguste von Perbandt (born May 25, 1836 on the Langendorf estate, East Prussia ; † June 2, 1897 in Godesberg ) was a German landscape painter .
Life
Von Perbandt was a member of the aristocratic East Prussian von Perbandt family . Her parents were Otto Friedrich Julius von Perbandt (* July 2, 1793; † April 16, 1878) and his wife Ida Sophie Ernestine von der Groeben (* October 8, 1795; † February 10, 1857). She had six siblings. The sisters were Ottilie Sophie Friederike Rosette (1823-1894) and Ida Karoline Cäcilie Marie (1827-1851), the brothers Georg Friedrich Otto Karl (* 1825), Fedor Karl Otto Gustav (1827-1906) was a writer, Rudolf Otto Theodor Traugott (* 1829, died as a child), Karl Adolf Rudolf Julius (1832–1911) was also a landscape painter.
Von Perbandt was initially a student of August Behrendsen and Carl Scherres in Königsberg , later a private student of Eugen Dücker , who had taught landscape painting at the Royal Prussian Art Academy in Düsseldorf since 1872 . She mainly devoted her work to depicting landscapes. She toured Germany and Switzerland and lived in Düsseldorf on Rosenstrasse. No. 32. She also exhibited in Berlin (1866/1884) and Munich (1869). A letter from her has survived from 1887 in which she wrote to Countess Anna Luise Agnes Friederike Charlotte Auguste von Lehndorff.
