Lindemann is a German - Swedish metal project by Rammstein singer Till Lindemann and musician Peter Tägtgren . The latter plays all the instruments for the band. The band has officially existed since January 2015.

history

The band consists of the German Rammstein singer and front man Till Lindemann and the Swedish multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren (including Hypocrisy , The Abyss and Pain ). The first meeting of Lindemann and Tägegren happened more or less by chance around the turn of the millennium. Lindemann was in Sweden with Rammstein colleague Christian Lorenz . Tagtgren prevented a fight between the Rammstein members and provocative bikers and then invited them to his place. Since then there has been a friendship between Lindemann and Tägegren and the desire to start a joint project.

The Rammstein break in 2013 was used for this. The project made itself felt for the first time with the creation of a Facebook account in early 2015. This was followed by a joint picture with Lindemann and Tägegren as the wedding couple. A few months later, more pictures and a release date for the album Skills in Pills, distributed by Warner Music Group , followed . The first song was Ladyboy , which was recorded in January 2013 . Over time, small videos related to the upcoming album were uploaded to the YouTube channel . All songs were recorded in Tägegren's own studio. On May 29, 2015, the single Praise Abort was released . The accompanying video attracted a lot of media attention. The song debuted at number 56 on the iTunes charts.

The album Skills In Pills was released in Germany on June 19, 2015 as CD, special CD, super deluxe edition, vinyl LP and MP3 download . While the standard CD only contains ten tracks, all other versions have the additional title That's My Heart . The super deluxe version also contains an 80-page art book. The album debuted at number 19 on the iTunes charts. The album Skills in Pills made it to number one on the German album charts. On October 9, 2015, a second single was released with Fish On . In addition to the well-known song Fish On , the album also features G-Spot Michael , which is sung in German by Lindemann except for the chorus, and a Drago Baotic Smooth version by Praise Abort . At the same time a music video for Fish On was released. Again it was directed by Zoran Bihać .

On November 9, 2016, Praise Abort was played live for the first time during a Pain concert at Club Klubsen in Hamburg , when Till Lindemann took the stage for this song.

On September 13, 2018 it was announced that the release of the second solo album was planned for spring 2019. In contrast to the debut album, the lyrics are written in German this time. A new music video titled Mathematics was released on December 19, 2018 . This is the band's first song in the hip-hop genre, with the Offenbach rapper Haftbefehl appearing as a guest musician.

In August 2019 Tagtgren announced that the production of the second studio album was well advanced. So the songs should already be recorded and mixed. On September 11th, the single Steh auf was announced, which was released on September 13th, 2019 as a digital single, 2-track CD and 7 "vinyl and reached number 8 in the German charts. In the course of the digital publication and the investigation of the source code fans managed to get details about the second studio album even before the single was released, which is called Frau & Mann or F & M and will contain 11 tracks in the standard edition and 13 tracks in the special edition, including some , which were created for the staging of the play Hansel and Gretel at Hamburg's Thalia Theater . On October 17th, the single I don't know was released on YouTube and on music streaming services. On November 1st, 2019, Knebel released the third release of the album , for which an adult video was shot. This version was only available once on a dedicated website. A heavily adapted version was published on Youtube. The video regi sseur Zoran Bihać made the uncensored version available on his Vimeo channel. The album was released on November 22, 2019. Like its predecessor, F & M reached number one in the German album charts.

On November 4, 2019, the duo's first live tour was announced, initially with twelve concerts in eight European countries, which, as was later announced, only adults are allowed to take part. It was therefore asked that all minors cancel their tickets.

On November 23rd and December 26th, 2019, two more videos were released with Frau & Mann and Oh so like, on titles from the current album. On February 4, 2020, the sixth video clip of the album was released at number one . The uncensored version of the video can only be seen on the paid porn site Visit-X . You can also find a second video from Lindemann on the site in which he stimulates a woman with two dildos . This was released on February 14, 2020 and is called "TILL the End", matching the single of the same name, which was released by Lindemann under the artist name NA CHUI on the same day.
