Lipnik (German Lindenberg ) is a village in the municipality of Stargard ( Stargard i. Pom. ) In the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Lipnik is located in Western Pomerania , about five kilometers west of the center of Stargard and 27 kilometers east of Szczecin and halfway between the villages of Grzędzice ( Seefeld ) in the north and Kunowo ( Kunow a./Straße ) in the south.

history

The separate place of residence with the name Lindenberg in the community Kunow an der Straße was created before 1834 as part of the regulation of the manorial and rural conditions at the request of the landowner David Schönfeldt, who had his residential and necessary farm buildings built here. The place name comes from some of the hills that exist in the former manor district. The expansion of Nix was part of Gut Lindenberg. In 1905 Lindenberg had 59 inhabitants.

At the beginning of the 1930s, the area around the estate was 354 hectares. In 1939, 23 horses, 156 cattle and 1,000 sheep were kept. The estate had its own church and a sand-lime brick factory. In addition, the Lindenberg estate included five residential buildings in which the families of the landowners lived.

Until 1945 Lindenberg belonged to the Saatzig district in the Pomeranian province .

Towards the end of the Second World War , Kunow and the district of Lindenberg were occupied by the Soviet Army in early March 1945 . After the war ended, the village became part of Poland as Lipnik .

religion

The overwhelming majority of the population present in Lindenberg before 1945 belonged to the Protestant denomination. The Protestants from Lindenberg belonged to the Protestant parish Kunow a./Straße, the Catholics to the Catholic parish Stargard i. Pom.

The Lindenberg Church was built between 1924 and 1926 and belonged to the property. A Luther linden tree stood in front of the church.
