Lisa Grill, who comes from Tamsweg, started skiing at the age of two. Her parents worked as ski racers and trainers. Her younger sister also competed in a few state-level races. Grill attends the ski hotel management school in Bad Hofgastein and is a member of the USC Mariapfarr - Weißpriach .
In January 2017 she contested her first two FIS races in Kranjska Gora . With consistently good results she drove into the ÖSV squad for the Junior World Championship in Davos , where she competed in all disciplines. In the combination , she narrowly missed a medal in fourth, in slalom, downhill and giant slalom she finished 13th, 15th and 28th, in the Super-G she was eliminated. In the 2018/19 season she made her debut in the European Cup , but could not place in the points for the time being. In her second JWM participation in Val di Fassa , she won the bronze medal in the downhill, in the other disciplines she could not improve on the previous year. At the end of the season she surprisingly prevailed against a strong field of participants in the Austrian championships and won her first national title in the downhill.
Because of this success, she was promoted to the B-team by the ÖSV. At the beginning of the upcoming European Cup season, she immediately scored her first points with fourth place in the Kvitfjell Super-G . In the combination at the same location, she achieved another top result with sixth place. On January 12th, 2020 she made her World Cup debut in the combination of Zauchensee and achieved her first points straight away with 19th place. At the Junior World Championships in Narvik , she won the silver medal in both downhill and super-G as well as in combination.
