Lisa Thomsen (born August 20, 1985 in Aachen ) is a German volleyball trainer and former national player.

Career

Lisa Thomsen began her career at VC Marl. Then she played in the junior team at VC Olympia Sinsheim. In the volleyball Bundesliga she played since 2005 as Libera at SV Sinsheim , Bayer Leverkusen , USC Münster and Schweriner SC . In 2009 she finished third with the national team at the Grand Prix and fourth at the European Championships in Poland. In the 2010/11 season she won the German championship with Schweriner SC and in 2011 she became vice European champion with the national team . In 2012 and 2013 Thomsen was again German champion and DVV cup winner with Schwerin . In 2013, she took first place with the national team in the Europa League and was again vice European champion . Then she moved to Azerbaijan to Azerrail Baku . This was followed by the change to league competitor Lokomotiv Baku . In November 2015 Thomsen returned to the Bundesliga and played for Allianz MTV Stuttgart until 2016 . In 2016/17 she strengthened TV Gladbeck in the 2nd North League. She then returned to the USC Münster division, where she ended her active career after the 2018/19 season. She then took on the posts of assistant trainer and team manager for the USC Bundesliga team.

Thomsen has also been the team manager of the German women's national team since 2019.
