The twins Lisa and Lena Mantler (born June 17, 2002 in Stuttgart ) are German web video producers and influencers . They are among the most successful users of the TikTok platform (formerly Musical.ly ) and have also published these videos on the Instagram social media platform .

Career

The twins were adopted by their current parents when they were six months old. They started sharing videos on Musical.ly in June 2015 . By early 2016, they had 10,000 followers on the platform. From the beginning of 2016 to September 2016, the number of followers on Musical.ly and Instagram has doubled every other month. In the following, they were able to record 30,000 new subscribers a day on Instagram at times. Because they mainly use English songs for their lipsync videos, they are also known in countries outside Germany. At the beginning of June 2016, the twins announced the end of the cooperation with their previous sponsor Compose Clothing .

In the summer of 2016 Lisa and Lena attended the Videodays in Cologne for the first time . In the summer of 2017, they released their first single, Not My Fault . At the beginning of February 2017, the twins were ranked third among the most subscribed Instagram users in Germany. As of March 2017, they have more than 10 million followers on the platform. In July 2020, they had more than 15 million subscribers.

In March 2019, the two announced that they were withdrawing from the TikTok platform due to security concerns. In April 2019 they hosted the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards at Europa-Park in Rust . In mid-May 2020 Lisa and Lena returned to the TikTok platform. Your TikTok account now has around 8 million followers (as of July 10, 2020).
