Bambi Awards 2017
The 69th Bambi Awards took place on November 16, 2017 in the Stage Theater in Berlin . It was moderated by Barbara Schöneberger and Florian Silbereisen and broadcast live on Erste .

The award had a viewing participation of 4.04 million, which corresponds to a market share of 15%. She was left behind against Die Bergretter on ZDF and also against The Voice of Germany on ProSieben .
The audience bambi
The audience award at the Bambi Awards 2017 was looking for the best presenter . Nominated were Kai plum , Johannes B. Kerner , Elton and Frank Buschmann . The vote was won by Kai Pflaume.
Our earth
Two Bambis were awarded in the Our Earth category . First, Arnold Schwarzenegger received a Bambi because he is fighting against climate change with his organization R20 Regions of Climate Actions and is opposing President Donald Trump , who is also Republican .
The second Bambi in this category went to the sisters Melati and Isabel Wijsen from Bali , who founded the Bye Bye Plastic Bags organization in 2013 when they were twelve and ten years old respectively . You are campaigning for a ban on single-use plastic bags. To do this, they started petitions, organized beach cleanings and provided the residents of the village of Pererenang with paper and cloth bags to get the village free of plastic. They now have an officially binding commitment from the Balinese governor to campaign for a ban on plastic bags from 2018. In September 2015 they presented their experiences at a TED talk in London .
Silent heroes
Waltraud Hubert works as a nurse in the children's dementia outpatient clinic at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf . There she looks after children and their families with diseases such as leukodystrophy or neural ceroid lipofuscinosis .
