Bambi Awards 1963
The 15th Bambi Awards took place on April 28, 1963 in the Black Forest Hall in Karlsruhe . The prices refer to the year 1962.
The award
In 1963 a new era began for the Bambi. The Burda publishing house had the end of 1962 film revue taken and hence the Bambi. However, little changed at first. Despite concerns about the lack of an airport and too few hotels, the decision was made to continue the award ceremony in Karlsruhe . In addition, Franz Burda stayed out of the organization of the Bambi Awards.
In terms of actor awards, there was again little change in the international categories. Rock Hudson won again in front of Anthony Perkins and Charlton Heston , and Sophia Loren again received the Bambi in front of Doris Day and Audrey Hepburn . It was completely different with the national prices. Heinz Rühmann had won a Bambi in the Honored Artist category in 1962 , but he won for the first time in the Most Popular Actor category . Last year's winner OW Fischer came in second . As the most popular actress , Liselotte Pulver won her first Bambi before Ruth Leuwerik . The young Bambi went to cordula trantow and Thomas Fritsch , as Honored Artist were Luise Ullrich and Rudolf Forster honored.
