from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 20th Bambi -Verleihung found on 24 January 1969 in the television studios of the ZDF in Unterföhring in Munich instead. The prices refer to the year 1968. The moderator of the event, which was broadcast on ZDF, was Dieter Thomas Heck .

The award

The public votes were still formally restricted to the readers of Bunter and Bild + Funk , but voting cards could also be received and returned in cinemas. This was advertised in the newsreel in November 1968.

As in 1968 , two television bambis were determined by a vote of the readers of Bild and Funk in 1969 . This time it was not about actresses and actors, but about the most popular quizmaster and the most popular television series . The Bambis went to Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff and the Bonanza series . Lorne Greene accepted the Bambi personally and also on behalf of his "film sons".

In addition to Heinz Rühmann (German actor) and Sophia Loren (international actress) , who had already received the respective Bambis several times, there were two new names for the actor bambis: Omar Sharif (international actor) and Uschi Glas (German actress) received the award for the first time .

In 1969, no single film was recognized in the Most Notable Domestic Film category. Instead Werner Nekes was honored for his experimental short films , in particular for Tarzan's fight with the gorilla , Vis-à-vis and Zipzibbelip .
