Bambi Awards 1950

The 3rd Bambi Awards were not an event. The Bambis were brought to the winners.

The prices

In 1950 there were separate votes for national and international actors for the first time. In the category of actors internationally was Stewart Granger chosen that already in the first two votes in 1948 and 1949 had done well. With 36.8% of the vote, he clearly relegated Jean Marais (14.8%) to second place. The international actress category also clearly went to Granger's then wife, Jean Simmons , who was able to leave Ingrid Bergman behind.

For National Actors and National Actors , a dream couple from the German cinema at the time was chosen, although the two did not get along so well. Rudolf Prack was able to repeat his win from the previous year. It was rather surprising that Adrian Hoven was able to take second place. Sonja Ziemann's victory, on the other hand, was a surprise. The magazine Film- und Mode-Revue, which organized the survey, found Ziemann's victory "alarming". Even the mirror was the victory Ziemanns surprisingly, even with the distance of nearly two years, Ziemann had but especially in filmed entertainment "barely had occasion to play with a real starring role in the foreground."
