Bambi Awards 1991

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 43rd Bambi Awards took place on December 12, 1991 in the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden .

The award

The Bambi Awards, held for the first time in Wiesbaden , were dominated by three winners: The Charity Bambi went to Audrey Hepburn , who was honored for her commitment as a UNICEF ambassador. Wolfgang Schäuble was able to receive the honorary bambi for "his political vision and exemplary courage". He had been gunned down about a year earlier and then fought his way back into politics. As a man of the year was Russian President Boris Yeltsin awarded "for his peaceful takeover of power". However, he was not present at the award ceremony. The award was presented to him shortly before the Bambi Awards in the White House in Moscow , as was shown in a video performance at the gala.
