Sibel Kekilli

For her performance in the film Gegen die Wand was Sibel Kekilli the Bambi in the category Shooting Star . In her acceptance speech, she attacked Bild and the Kölner Express for their articles about their appearances in porn films . She expressly did not thank them and called on them to finally “stop this dirty smear campaign” and added: “What you are doing is called media rape.” For this performance, she received not only respect and solidarity from those present (like Til Schweiger , Olli Dittrich or Barbara Schöneberger ), but also from the press. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung said: “Sibell Kekilli in particular made the gala shine” and the Süddeutsche Zeitung found the speech to be “one of the most moving moments of the evening”, a formulation that Der Spiegel also chose.
