The 2nd Bambi Awards were not an event. The Bambis were brought to the winners.

The prices

In 1949 an editor of the magazine Film- und Mode-Revue was able to experience what it means to hand over a Bambi personally. He had to follow the winner Margaret Lockwood on her theater tour through England until he reached her in Blackpool . Margaret Lockwood won the vote with 15.4% of the vote, just ahead of Hilde Krahl (15.1%) and Marika Rökk (14.7%). The actors' vote went to Rudolf Prack with almost seven percentage points ahead of Stewart Granger . Third place went to Hans Söhnker . Rudolf Prack could easily be reached in his apartment in Vienna .
